A cashback ledger, run in the open
Valueback was built on a simple idea: if a store is willing to pay a commission for sending them a customer, most of that commission should go to the person who actually made the purchase.
What we do
Valueback partners with online stores across groceries, fashion, electronics, travel, food delivery, home goods, beauty, and bill payments. When a member clicks through to one of these stores from Valueback and completes a purchase, the store pays us a referral commission. We share a portion of that commission back with the member as cashback.
We don't change store prices, we don't add checkout steps, and we don't require a card to be linked to our platform. Our role is to track the referral honestly and pay out what's owed on time.
Where we started
Valueback began as a small side project built by two people who kept noticing they were paying full price for things that had cashback available elsewhere — and getting frustrated by how opaque and slow those other programs were to actually pay out. We set out to build the version of that idea we'd want to use ourselves: transparent order statuses, realistic clearing timelines, and support tickets that get answered by a person.
How we think about trust
Every tracked order on Valueback shows a status and, where a store declines a claim, the reason given. We publish typical confirmation windows per category rather than promising instant payouts we can't guarantee. When something goes wrong — a missed tracking event, a delayed payout — we'd rather tell a member early than let them wonder.
Three things guide most of our decisions
Transparency over polish
We'd rather show an honest "declined by store, reason: return processed" than hide a failed claim behind a vague status.
Real cash, not points
Cashback is a withdrawable balance, not a loyalty currency you're nudged to spend inside our platform.
Slow and correct over fast and wrong
We wait for a store's own confirmation before finalising cashback, even when that means a longer pending period.
